Udupi, 21 August 2014: The Aditi Art Gallery and Udupi Photographer’s Association had jointly organized the world photography day celebrations at Aditi Art Gallery in Udupi. On this occasion the photography exhibition from Udupi and Mangalore photographers was also arranged.Inaugurating the event Rajyasabha member Oscar Fernandes said that, “if an Art Gallery for the public to view and use is constructed here in Udupi, similar to the one huge Art Gallery in Delhi, I will support it”, he assured.
Durban Development and District in charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake spoke on the occasion and said that, the photographers today are very active and that too the photo journalists are alert every moment and perform their work, he said.
On this occasion senior critic A. Eshwarayya was honoured. The program was presided over by D.K. Working Journalists Association President P.B. Harish Rai. MLA Gopal Poojary, Blossom Fernandes, Astro Mohan and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
Aditi Trust Managing Trustee Dr. Kiran Acharya welcomed the guests and the gathering. Janardhana Kodavoor compeered the program.
